Our Mission Statement

"To re-personalize and enrich the East Hillside and Grant Language & Arts Magnet School community by fosteringstrong partnerships which expand opportunities for positive youth development, inter-generational involvement, life-long learning, and appreciation of our diversity."

A Little About Us

The Grant Community School Collaborative is a seven member non-profit dedicated to serving the youth and families of Duluth's inner-city East Hillside neighborhood. We apply the principles of a "Community School" model to program design: intentional partnerships and mobilization of key organizations and individuals, clear outcomes and high expectations, embracing diversity, building upon the strenghts of our community, and creating a school that addresses the neighborhood's uniquie needs and assets.

*To help increase School Attendance

*To help increase Academic Success

*To help increase Family Involvement

*Develop Cultural Appreciation

*Provide opportunities for youth to expand their intellectual, creative and social skills

*Provide engaging service learning opportunities for youth and community memebers
